SunkSunk by Renea Porter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book very much! Raine Sims sister Summer is getting married, and she is the maid of honor. She is happy for her sister, but she'd rather not bother with the fitting for a maid of honor dress. She is barely functioning, she is awake all night and sleeps during the day, and is extremely depressed. She just signed her divorce papers and found out her husband cheated on her.
Sly Wilkes is the best man at the wedding of his best friend. He is a rich, handsome, and sexy hunk of a guy who only needs a woman for one thing. He had everything and lost it so he is not interested in relationships. They meet at the wedding and Sly see's a lot of sadness in Raine and wants to make her smile, which he ends up doing. Things progress from there, and the reader learns a lot about Raine and Sly and why they feel the way they do, and why they are so sad.
This book deals with two individuals who are both fighting sadness and loss and are pulled together by their like circumstances. This is a love story that is well written and the dialogue and characters are well put together within the storyline. The feelings are raw at times, and I did shed a few tears with this story. After these two going through so much they do get their happy ending, eventually. I don't want to give too many details so you need to read the story to find out how they get their happy ending. This is the first book I have read by Renee Porter, and I think with a few more books under her belt she will make an excellent author! After reading this book I feel that the author, and the editors could have come up with a more interesting title to go with this good book. I reviewed this book as part of Mommy's Naughty Playground Review Team.
