A restaurant and a dance club/bar is the setting for this book. (Shay manages the bar) It just happens to house a private sex club on the lowest level. Shay has never been downstairs to it but an employee accident has left and open shift that needs filled by an experienced bartender, who better than Shay to fill it. Leo one of the partners is not happy about this idea, he does not want her exposed to the sex club. The 2 other partners, Brute and TJ think she'll be fine, but Leo thinks she'll have problems. Leo has a soft spot for Shay, because he let his guard down and kissed her in the storeroom, then he walked away because she is vanilla and Leo is a Dom and he doesn't think she can handle his brand of kink. She would have liked more but he decided against taking things further.
This is the first book of this author that I have read. I found it to be well written with a unique story line. There is a lot of angst and longing on both Shay and Leo's parts. With Leo restraining himself, unlike most Doms who would see a woman they want and go after her. The sex and the chemistry between Leo and Shay is explosive once they get started. They are slow and both seem to have some problems with relationships with other people, so that is why they go slow. I look forward to getting more glimpses and insight into the sex club because in this first book you only get an erotic peek of it. This is the first book of this author that I have read. I found it to be well written with a unique story line. There is a lot of angst and longing on both Shay and Leo's parts. With Leo restraining himself, unlike most Doms who would see a woman they want and go after her. The sex and the chemistry between Leo and Shay is explosive once they get started. They are slow and both seem to have some problems with relationships with other people, so that is why they go slow. I look forward to getting more glimpses and insight into the sex club because in this first book you only get an erotic peek of it.
