I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. Clay Maxwell is an ass, but a lovable one! Clay is part of the Maxwell political dynasty family, but he feels like the black sheep of the powerful family and strives to step out of the shadow of his perfect brother, Brody. He is a powerful attourney, in his own right, but he still feels like he is invisable to his father. This series is all at once funny, sad, heartwarming, maddening, full of love, with a supporting cast of characters as colorful and charming as the South, but real enough to have quirks, dreams, problems, and lots of Southers Sass to back it up! Andrea and Clay went through a lot of stuff and have already been together for 10 years it would have been a shame if all that went down the drain. At times I wanted to whallop Clay right upside the head and yell at him, "Can't you see what you have why are you trying to throw it all away?" If anyone had been around they would have thought I was crazy! I definetly had a strong reaction from Clays actions in this book. Andrea obviously wanted more and Clay couldn't grasp the idea that he really loved her, until he got a wake up call from her. Strong, cocky manwhore Clay fell apart.After reading Clay and Andrea's story I cannot wait to read Savannah's story when it comes out,just from her appearance in this book, I think it's going to be nothing short of fireworks on the 4th of July! I read and reviewed this book as a member of the Mommy's Naughty Playground Review Team.
It takes a very good author to make you feel that strongly about a character that they have created in a book!
