This book is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. The author did a great job portraying the characters, their emotions and the experiences they went through. The imagery thoughout the book is amazing, and paints some awesome pictures. From the moment I started the book I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. It kept me captivated from the first page through the last.
The lead female character Mackenzie has not been dealt a great hand in life. She has only been with one man in her adult life, and it is by no means a healthy relationship. When she meets Tanner Hart, rockstar playboy, by chance, her life will never be the same again.
While Tanner Hart is the playboy of rock, infamouse for taking a groupie back to his room each night, there is more to him than meets the eye. He wants people to see his persona, so they don’t see the real him. While everyone thinks his life is perfect, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Will the chance encounter between Mackenzie and Tanner be the turning point in each of their lives? Will it make them see that there is more to life than what they currently have, or will they both stay stuck where they are?
This book does contain sensitive material and may not be for everyone. I highly recommend this book to those who love rock star books, second chances, romance, and those over 18. When I started this book I didn’t realize it was the second book in the series, but I feel that it can be read as a stand alone. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book, and will probably go back and read the first book.
