This book is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. The author did a fabulous job or portraying the characters, their emotions and the experiences they went through. The imagery is amazing. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. It kept me captivated from the first page through the last.
I love Mia's character. When her 8 month old son gets sick, she will stop at nothing to save him. Being a nurse she knows that he needs help and he needs it soon. Her son Colt has cancer. As they are not finding a match for a bone marrow transplant, her only hope is to finally the perfect sperm donor to have a second baby and use the the blood/stem cells from the umbilical cord to save her son. But the perfect match sperm donor changed his mind.
Tai is a known bad boy. He is the last person people come to for help because he is always messing up. Until Mia comes to his firehouse looking for him. As she pleads her case he is instantly drawn in. He will do whatever he can to help save Colt, but he wants to help Mia as well.
Will Tai be able to help Colt? Will he be in time? No mother whould ever have to bury her child. Once all is said and done, Tai realizes that Mia has imprinted on his life, and wants her to have a permanent place in his life.
I highly recommend this book to romance lovers and those who love firefighters.
