The main character, Valerie is awesome. Although she is 15 years old when the book started, she is a strong female lead. She is hard working and determined. Once she sets her mind to something there is no stopping her. She is in an emotional state at the beginning of the book, but she isn't your typical emotional teenager unless she has good cause. She is part of a loving family, with three older protective brothers, Kayden, Martin and Adam.
Over Thanksgiving break, she meets her brother's friend and roomate Flynn. Although she is still young and naieve, Flynn bring out emotions and feelings in Valerie that are new to her.
I love this take on a Rockstar Romance. It kept me on my toes. Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to see what happens in book 2.
