I really liked the characters in this book. It is a fast paced story that's too hard to put down. It is well written, smooth flowing, and easy to read.
Sam and Rick both in their early 20's have been through a lot but still have so much to learn. Sam is determined and she feels she is independent, but doesn't realize that she is using her father and his health as a crutch. Rick let a bad situation get the best of him and he is now spinning his wheels. Will they be able to help build each other up, or will they end of tearing each other down and making things worse. Sam's insecurity and Rick's attitude certainly won't help anything.
Once I started the book I couldn't put it down. It kept me captivated from the first page to the last. I love watching the characters learn and grow. They seem much more confidant and their spirits higher by the end of the book.
