Infatuation is book 4 in the Knights Rebels MC series.
I read Incandescent when it first came out and I loved it but for some reason I did not come back to the series when the 2nd book came out, Affliction. I'm so glad I did now because once I picked it up, I could not put them down. I read all 4 books back to back, they WILL suck you in!! Infatuation deals with a tough, scary subject: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. A lot of us have either been through this or know someone who has. River deals with a tricky subject but writes it so well. It makes you feel everything going on in her books and the characters become very real to you. I love the fact River introduces you to a character in previous book and you get a glimpse of them, maybe what's to come and they'll eventually get their own book.
This is Beau and Mackenzie's story. There was a connection from the beginning when Beau saves Mackenzie. Beau is a very interesting character - all APLHA MALE and of course very protective of his MC family and Mackenzie. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is not a new subject for Beau. He has been dealing with issues of not be able to protect his sister and what happen to her. He has had the urge to protect females' that are dealing with this horrific life experience but there is more to it with Mackenzie. Mackenzie is struggling every day with a past that she can't let go of - panic attacks, flashbacks and not knowing who she can trust or if she'll ever be able to trust again. Even when you get out of domestic violence you still deal with the aftermath of it. I loved reading how Beau and Mackenzie slowing come together. Of course there is a whole lot more going on in this book. Go get your copy now and you won't be disappoint.
